Our Mission
At Penobscot Valley Humane Society it is our utmost priority to serve our community, both human and animal. Regardless of background, personal history, or previous environments, we promise to always provide basic care, with great attention to detail, in order to rehome each and every creature that walks through our front door. It is also our duty to provide wisdom and advice to fellow pet owners, as well as educate anyone in need of guidance in the realm of pet care. Everything we do is in the hope that each and every animal is given a fair chance at life, as it should be.

Every creature on this earth deserves the chance to be safe, happy, and loved. No matter what situation our animals come from, we believe that they have the right to finally find peace in the next chapter of their lives. It is our hope that with every adoption, our beloved friends will receive unconditional love, and share that love with those around them in return.

From home environments to personality compatibility, we go above and beyond for our furry friends. Our goal is for each animal to leave our doors on their way to the best possible forever home, so that they have the chance to live the longest and happiest lives possible.
